The daughter of an art teacher, Amy Pradelles, a contemporary American artist in France, has always had a connection to art and creative living. Her own artistic path began with a bachelor of fine arts in industrial design which led to working as an art director in a creative marketing agency. She quickly followed in her mom’s footsteps and earned a master of arts in teaching art education and went on to teach high school art for twelve years both in Chicago and Paris. After the birth of her son, she realized painting was her true dream.

Amy’s art is inspired by the early years of motherhood and daily life as an American mom in France. From croissants on vintage French plates to scattered toys on the playmat, Amy finds beauty in the ordinary moments, not milestones. Through color, pattern, lighting and intimate subject matters, her paintings aim to preserve fleeting moments and turn them into something meaningful and lasting.
